Harry Edward Styles is an English singer, songwriter and musician. He was a member of One Direction. The band is based in Holmes Chapel in Cheshire England Styles is the son of Des Styles & Anne Cox. Harry Styles studied at the Holmes Chapel Comprehensive School where he created his own group of musicians with three classmates, which was dubbed the White Eskimo. White Eskimo won 2009's Battle of Bands thanks to their excellent performance. Though he's been interested in the arts, he hoping to be an attorney or an physiotherapist. A part-time job in a city bakery was his first occupation in order to provide for his family. In the year 2010, Harry Styles presented audition for The X Factor where he did the track Is not She Lovely by Stevie Wonder and was selected. His band was forced to split up because of this. Nicole Scherzinger told Harry Styles, Liam Payne Zayn Milik Niall Horan, and Louis Tomlinson that they'd form an ensemble called One Direction after the X Factor audition. Simon Cowell sponsored this five-person group and they were created in the year 2010. They sang Kelly Clarkson's My Life Would Be Sucky Without You as well as Bonnie Tyler's Total Eclipse of the Heart at the time of the contest. This allowed them to become the frontrunners to win the contest. The group was however placed third place behind Rebecca Ferguson, and the winner Matt Cardle. Harry Styles, his group and Cowell didn't take home the prize. However, Cowell offered Harry Styles a 2 million pounds contract with Syco.
